Rules for the replacement of ships
The introduction of refreshed aircraft carriers will have an impact not only on the way of playing, but also on the technology tree. Aircraft carriers will now be located only at even levels. If you are interested in the fate of those who have disappeared, read our special article .
Now we want to tell you about the method of exchange of ships that can be tested for loans and free PDs, and premium carriers – for doubloons.
The rules for granting compensation have been set in such a way that the effects of changes are beneficial to players, so the basic rule is: you’ll get something better than you lose. Players who have aircraft carriers from VI-X levels will receive units from even levels at a new price along with full compensation in credits, as well as free PD for aircraft carriers and their modules from odd levels. In addition, players will receive a difference between the cost of testing old even and odd aircraft carriers and a new even-wing aircraft carrier.
What will happen to even-numbered aircraft carriers?
- The collected PDs remain with the current ship or are transferred to the ship that replaces it.
- The examined modules are replaced with similar modules of new aircraft carriers. If the module was already purchased, the new one will also be available.
- The ship will be equipped with modules similar to those of the previous ship. If this is not possible, the basic module will be installed. Detailed rules for exchanging ships are presented below.
- If the aircraft carrier does not have similar modules, the PDs spent to examine it are returned in the form of free PD. If the module was bought, loans are also returned.
- If the previous aircraft carrier had all the modules examined, then the new aircraft carrier will also have all modules tested, even if it has more.
What will happen to the odd-wing aircraft carriers?
- All collected PD will be transferred to the aircraft carrier by a lower level.
- All PDs released for module unblocking will be returned in equal amount as free PD. Loans will also be refunded if the module was purchased.
- The difference between the cost of testing a new aircraft carrier by one lower, even number and the sum of the costs of testing the old odd aircraft carrier and the old aircraft carrier by one level lower will be returned as a free PD.

General rules for aircraft carriers:
- All upgrades of aircraft carriers that can be used on other types of ships will be dismantled and placed in the Inventory.
- Improvements that can only be mounted on aircraft carriers will be removed from players’ accounts and granted full compensation in credits.
- All commanders of even-wing aircraft carriers will be trained on new aircraft carriers of the same levels.
- All commanders of the odd paratroopers will be trained on the aircraft carriers by a lower level and transferred to the Reserve. If there are not enough places in the Reserve, new places will be added to it.
- The skills of all commanders of aircraft carriers will be reset.
- All permanent and special camouflage of aircraft carriers of even levels will be replaced with similar camouflage for new aircraft carriers of the same levels.
- The camouflage for the Tier VI aircraft carrier will be replaced by a camouflage for the Ranger Tier VI aircraft carrier. The camouflage for the Ranger Tier VII aircraft carrier will be removed from the accounts and players will be compensated in full-value doubloons.
- Aircraft models will be based on those designed for use with unique camouflage for aircraft carriers. This applies to: Hellcarrier (Hakuryu), Wielka Gorgona (Shokaku) and Nobilium (Lexington).
- Camouflages for odd-wing aircraft carriers will be removed from accounts and players will be compensated in full-value doubloons.
- Operational equipment, signals, flags and disposable camouflage will be placed in the Inventory.
- Battleship statistics for aircraft carriers will be divided, and the collection of statistics for this type of ships will start again.
Rules for Premium Carriers:
- All the “old” VIII Tier VIII premium aircraft carriers will be replaced with the new Tier VIII premium aircraft carriers, and the entire accumulated experience and specializations of the commander will be transferred.
- The Saipan and Kaga premium aircraft carriers will be replaced by the new premium aircraft carriers Saipan and Kaga, placed on the VIII level. The entire experience and specializations of the commander will be transferred to new aircraft carriers.
- All permanent and special camouflage for premium carriers will be replaced with similar camouflage for new aircraft carriers of the same or new levels.
- With the update 0.8.0 Graf Graf Zeppelin no longer has a hydroacoustic Probe. If the player had this improvement, it will be dismantled for free.
General rules for all ships:
- All improvements affecting anti-aircraft guns will be dismantled and placed in the Inventory.
- Commanders without specialization for aircraft carriers, but having any of the following skills: “Expert in air combat”, “Expert in aircraft operation”, “Avoidance maneuver”, “Graduates”, “Emergency start” and “Air superiority” will be reset all skills.
These are the basic rules that will be automatically applied to all aircraft carriers in the game. However, if you do not like the new way of playing or would like to explore the entire branch from the beginning, you can exchange the examineable aircraft carriers for credits and free PDs and sell premium carriers for their equivalent in doubloons.
An exchange can be made on the Inventory tab, which will contain a temporary category available only until the update 0.8.2 has been introduced.
The rules for exchanging aircraft carriers for loans and free PDs:
- The exchanges can be made only from high-level ships, i.e. you can not, for example, replace Ranger without prior exchange of Midway and Lexington.
- After the exchange, the ship will be removed from the account along with all modules.
- After the exchange, the full value of the ship in credits will affect the account, including the value of all modules, as well as free PD in the amount sufficient to examine the ship and all previously examined modules. Loans and free CP will be calculated according to the new system, taking into account the absence of ships of odd levels.
- Carriers can be replaced more than once. However, all subsequent operations will transfer the PD used to examine the ship and its modules to the ship one level lower. If you replace the 4th level aircraft carrier, then from the second such operation, all PD will be transferred to the Tier I ship.
- All commanders with specialization for a given ship, which you want to exchange, will be trained and assigned to the first level ship of the given country.
- All related XP gained on this ship will be transferred to the 1st level ship of the country.
- Improvements, consumables, signals, flags and disposable camouflages will be placed in the Inventory.
- Solid camouflages will be removed and players will receive full compensation in doubloons.
- Places in the Port are not removed after the exchange.
- After changing the ship, you can re-examine it.
- The premium carrier is exchanged for the games, players will receive its equivalent in doubloons.
- Premium carriers will be exchanged for the following amounts:
- Saipan: 9500 doubloons,
- Enterprise: 14,000 doubloons,
- Kaga: 9700 doubloons,
- Graf Zeppelin: 13 700 doubloons,
These are the amounts at which initially these ships were offered.
Attention! These ships can not be bought before the update 0.8.2. With the introduction of this update or later, these ships will be available again, but at a new price of 14,000 doubloons. Please remember about this price change, because if you now exchange your ships, then later you can run out of doubloons to buy them again!
