Tank festival: results, backstage and a little about future plans.
No matter how much you want to extend the Tank Festival, this incredible holiday has come to an end. Take a look back and think how cool it was – two months of constant events with exciting gameplay, new mechanics and awards!
For the first time in the history of World of Tanks, you had a whole series of interconnected activities of such a long duration. This is a new experience for both you and us. We hope that during the festival you had a great time, and at the same time replenished your collection with unique styles and decals, earned bonuses and other valuable game property.
And finally, you could enjoy The Offspring concert right in your hangar. Together with the group, we also created a new machine – TL-1 LPC with the unique 3D Pretty Fly style. During work, we were inspired by the work of the team, so the power of the multi-ton tank and the unstoppable pressure of The Offspring music are combined in the tank. Nobody has ever seen anything like it before!
“Big races”.
As part of the “Big Race” a team tournament was held in which a serious struggle unfolded for first place. All tournament rewards will be credited to you until October 11th. We need time to make sure there are no violations of the rules among the winners and completely exclude the possibility of contractual fights. Therefore, we ask you to be patient – you will receive your well-deserved rewards in the near future!
The Offspring in your Hangar.
This year, the legendary punk band from California – The Offspring! Became the headliner of WG Fest: Tanker’s Day. Their music is a powerful stream of drive and energy. Just like fighting in random battles. We thought that the Tank Festival would be a great opportunity to establish productive cooperation with the team. After consulting with the musicians, we decided to give each tanker the opportunity to enjoy the live performance of The Offspring right in his hangar.
The group supported our idea with great enthusiasm. For us and The Offspring, it was a truly bold experiment and an amazing new experience. Judging by your reviews, the result was excellent: the concert in the Hangar was no less catchy than real live performance. Models of musicians were created using the motion capture method.
Together we also created one of the coolest-looking vehicles in World of Tanks history – the TL-1 LPC with the Pretty Fly 3D style. TL-1 LPC is a kind of stage for the concert performance of The Offspring, is equipped with a unique crew of members of the group and has a number of other cool features.
Mini games.
We hope they brought you many joyful moments! Mini-games were created to give you the opportunity to collect a collection of the festival and simply entertain you in between other events. They were implemented as old slot machines that once stood in the Minsk Central Children’s Park named after Maxim Gorky. It is located in the heart of the capital of Belarus, and it was he who became the prototype of a virtual amusement park in your hangars.
“Front line”.
“Front Line” is the most epic mode of World of Tanks, and this year’s season is nearing completion. In the eighth episode, there is a new large map: Kraftwerk, which boasts a variety of landscapes and impressive buildings. Many of you have already begun to receive the long-awaited main awards – two steel predators: EMIL 1951 and IX AE Phase I. Those who could not start playing in this mode earlier received help in the form of sets of personal reserves. With them, the last two episodes became a springboard for a jerk to the coveted rewards.
Festival fair.
Especially for the Tank Festival, we reworked last year’s holiday calendar, which is familiar to you, and expanded its capabilities. This time you could use deferred purchases and more prudently approach the choice of equipment. We hope that this has helped you buy the cars that you have long wanted at a bargain price. In addition, you probably were able to get tickets during the fair to issue your personal tokens.
“Steel hunter.”
In this Battle Royale mode, we wanted to try new mechanics that we had never used before. The basic concept of the regime (each for itself) and its game principles were warmly received by “steel hunters”. The mode became an excellent alternative to casual battles: it did not require too much time and effort from the players.
The event turned out to be extremely exciting, but we already see how it can be made even better. There is a possibility that this mode will return to the game, but in a slightly modified form. Initially, we tried to balance the complexity of Steel Hunter to make it accessible to a wide range of players. As a result, we released a simpler version of the event, however, we have a number of ideas on how to increase its complexity. Now we have to decide how to combine various mechanics in order to get even more fun gameplay in the Battle Royale format.
“Czech holidays.”
“Czech holidays” made acquaintance with the Tank Festival simple and laid-back. During this event, we wanted to give you the opportunity to quickly explore tanks from the Czechoslovak branch, making the whole process pleasant and convenient. Our other goal was to introduce you to the mechanics of the drawings, which were one of the main awards of the event. Czech Vacations brought many awards for completing simple but interesting combat missions.
Personal tokens.
Personal tokens were created specifically for the Tank Festival, so you can challenge the enemy on the battlefield. Your “calling card” was the last thing the opponents you destroyed saw in the battle, so they had the motivation to return and get even in the next battle.
Initially, it was planned to make about 200 elements from which a personal token would be assembled, but subsequently, we reduced their number. Some players did not immediately appreciate these mechanics, but very soon more and more tankers began to create their own unique tokens.
We continue to study your feedback, but for now this mechanics will disappear from the game. We need time to think about her future and decide whether to return personal tokens in upcoming events.

Speriamo che questo ti abbia aiutato ad acquistare i mezzi che desideri da tempo a un prezzo speciale. Inoltre, probabilmente sei stato in grado di ottenere i biglietti durante la fiera per emettere i tuoi token personali.
“Cacciatore d’acciaio”.
In questa modalità Battle Royale, volevamo provare nuove meccaniche che non avevamo mai usato prima. Il concetto di base del regime (ciascuno per sé) e i suoi principi di gioco sono stati accolti calorosamente dai “cacciatori d’acciaio”. La modalità divenne un’ottima alternativa alle battaglie casuali: non richiedeva troppo tempo e sforzi da parte dei giocatori.
L’evento si è rivelato estremamente emozionante, ma vediamo già come può essere reso ancora migliore. È possibile che questa modalità ritorni al gioco, ma in una forma leggermente modificata. Inizialmente, abbiamo cercato di bilanciare la complessità di Steel Hunter per renderlo accessibile a una vasta gamma di giocatori. Di conseguenza, abbiamo rilasciato una versione più semplice dell’evento, tuttavia, abbiamo diverse idee su come aumentarne la complessità. Ora dobbiamo decidere come combinare varie meccaniche per ottenere un gameplay ancora più divertente nel formato Battle Royale.
“Vacanze ceche”.
Le “vacanze ceche” hanno reso semplice e rilassato la conoscenza del Tank Festival. Durante questo evento, volevamo offrirti l’opportunità di esplorare rapidamente i carri armati della filiale cecoslovacca, rendendo l’intero processo piacevole e conveniente. Il nostro altro obiettivo era farvi conoscere la meccanica dei disegni, che erano uno dei premi principali dell’evento. Czech Vacations ha assegnato numerosi premi per aver completato missioni di combattimento semplici ma interessanti.
Token personali.
I token personali sono stati creati appositamente per il Tank Festival, quindi puoi sfidare il nemico sul campo di battaglia. Il tuo “biglietto da visita” è stata l’ultima cosa che gli avversari che hai distrutto hanno visto nella battaglia, quindi avevano la motivazione per tornare e ottenere anche nella battaglia successiva.
Inizialmente, si prevedeva di creare circa 200 elementi da cui sarebbe stato assemblato un token personale, ma successivamente ne abbiamo ridotto il numero. Alcuni giocatori non hanno immediatamente apprezzato queste meccaniche, ma molto presto sempre più petroliere hanno iniziato a creare i propri token unici.
Continuiamo a studiare il tuo feedback, ma per ora questa meccanica scomparirà dal gioco. Abbiamo bisogno di tempo per pensare al suo futuro e decidere se restituire token personali nei prossimi eventi.
