T 54D, new promo medium tank tier 9
T 54D (Germany, MT-9, promo) came out the day before yesterday for the WoT EU supertest.
The tank has no special mechanics. A fairly large alpha for level 9 and seemingly good armor, but time will tell how it will work in battle. Release no earlier than 2024.
History
T 54D is a T-54/T-55 with armour upgrade. In 1992, Blohm&Voss announced that it had developed a new passive armour system for Soviet T-54 and T-55 series MBTs. The project remained at the concept stage with no production to date. This armour package was of modular construction and was mounted on the turret, hull sides and glade plate of the vehicle with special shock-absorbing mounting brackets.
