New Tank War Chests Offer Random Rewards for World of Tanks Players
World of Tanks console has introduced new lootboxes for its players: Tank War Chests.
Tank War Chests are loot boxes that can be purchased for 1,000 Gold, the in-game currency, and contain random items that can enhance the gameplay experience. These items include Silver, Boosters, Premium Time, Equipment, Premium Consumables, and even rare Premium tanks.
Dates
The Tank War Chests are available from December 5th to January 1st, and each one guarantees a value that is equal to or greater than the cost of the chest. The items are randomly selected from a pool of possible drops, which have different probabilities of appearing.

- Premium Consumable: 45.40%
- Vehicle XP Booster (x1.25, x2, x3, x4, x5): 36.47%
- Silver: 25.10%
- Commander XP Booster (x2, x2.75, x4, x6, x8): 24.80%
- Equipment: 20.00%
- Free XP Booster (x2, x3, x6): 19.28%
- Silver Booster (x1.25, x1.5, x2): 12.41%
- Premium Time (1, 7, 14, or 30 Days): 10.72%
- Free XP: 6.58%
- Premium Tank: 2.00%
Premium tanks
One of the main attractions of the Tank War Chests is the chance to get a Premium tank, which is a special vehicle that has unique characteristics and benefits, such as increased earnings, crew training, and exclusive access to certain game modes. The Tank War Chests include Premium tanks from different tiers, nations, and modes, such as World War II and Cold War.

Compensations
To ensure that players get a fair deal, the game developers have implemented a system that guarantees a Premium tank drop every 25 chests. This means that if a player does not get a Premium tank in the first 24 chests, the 25th one will definitely contain one. Moreover, the system prevents duplicate Premium tank drops from the chests until the player has collected all of the possible tanks.
However, there is still a possibility that a player may get a Premium tank that they already own from another source, such as a Store bundle or a Challenge reward. In that case, the player will receive a compensation in Silver, which is the game’s main currency for buying and upgrading tanks.
- When players activate the Guaranteed tank mechanic, the tank you receive will not be one you have already received from the Guaranteed system, until you have received ALL of the possible tank drops from the Guaranteed system. (Updated on December 6th)
- However, players can receive a vehicle from a Tank War Chest that you have previously acquired a different way (in a Store bundle, as a Challenge reward, etc.).
- Once you get a tank as a drop, your 25-chest counter resets.
- If you receive a Premium tank that you already own as a drop from a Tank War Chest, then you will be compensated with the tank’s value in Silver instead.
The Tank War Chests are a limited-time offer, so players who are interested should act fast and head to the Store to grab their chests before they are gone.
