World of Tanks: Object 452k. A Discrepancy Between the Gun Mantlet Armor Value and the Official Video
If you are a World of Tanks player, you might be interested in the Object 452k, a new Soviet Tier X heavy tank that is one of the most mobile assault heavy tanks in the game. However, you might also be confused by the gun mantlet armor value of this tank, which seems to be different from what the official video shows.
According to WOT Express, the final gun mantlet armor value of the Object 452k is 350 – 400 mm, instead of the previously shown incorrect 250 – 2x 300 mm. This means that the gun mantlet armor value has been increased, but not as much as the official video suggests. In the official video, the gun mantlet seems to be advertised with 500+ mm armor and it cannot be penetrated by any shell.
However, this is not the case in the actual game. During the night, when the supposed “fix” was applied, the bugged 300mm mantlet was only increased to 400mm. This is still not enough to withstand the penetration of many TX gold shells, which can have 320mm or more of penetration. Moreover, with the +25% RNG on the penetration, these shells can easily penetrate the 400mm mantlet.
This discrepancy between the gun mantlet armor value and the official video seems misleading for the players who want to get the Object 452k. It affects the gameplay and performance of the Object 452k, which might not be as resilient and reliable as expected.
