Are you ready for the new World of Tanks patch 1.24? This patch brings a lot of changes and improvements to the game, as well as some exciting new features. In this article, you will find all the details about the patch 1.24, including:
- The discontinuation of the 32-bit game client support
- The introduction of the Maneuvers mode and its rewards
- The collaboration with a third-party media franchise for the Battle Pass event
- The changes to the battle rules and hints for new players
- The map changes and the referral program interface update
- The changes to the technical characteristics of some vehicles
Let’s dive into each of these topics and see what patch 1.24 has to offer.
32-bit Game Client Support Discontinued
If you are still using a 32-bit operating system, you will need to update it to a 64-bit one to continue playing World of Tanks. After the release of patch 1.24, the 32-bit game client will no longer be supported by the Wargaming Game Center (WGC). You will not be able to launch the game via the WGC if you have a 32-bit system.
However, you can still launch the 32-bit game client manually by opening the game/win32 folder and running the WorldOfTanks.exe file. But this option will only be available until the next update, when the support of the 32-bit game client will be completely discontinued. Therefore, we strongly recommend you to update your operating system to x64 bit as soon as possible.
Maneuvers
Maneuvers is a new game mode that will test your skills and teamwork in 7v7 battles with unique combat modifiers. You can participate in Maneuvers with your clan or as a legionnaire. You will need to complete missions and earn Fame Points to progress through the event and unlock various rewards, such as:
- Bonds
- Credits
- Personal Reserves
- Directives
- Experimental Equipment
- Unique 3D styles
- A chance to participate in an auction for rare vehicles
Patch 1.24 introduces some changes and improvements to the Maneuvers mode, such as:
- The functionality to restore vehicles to duty in the detachment window. You can use this option to remove the Out of Commission status from your vehicles and use them again in battles.
- The update of the rewards in the mode. You can now get more bonds, credits, and personal reserves, as well as new directives and experimental equipment.
- The addition of an auction with vehicles for bonds. You can bid for some rare and exclusive vehicles, such as the Object 907, the VK 72.01 (K), and the M60, using the bonds you earned in the mode.
- The change of the battle type to Encounter mode, with the base capture time set to 100 seconds. This will make the battles more dynamic and challenging, as you will need to balance between capturing the base and destroying the enemy team.
- The change of the number of points in the event Progression. You will now need more points to reach each stage, but you will also get more points for completing missions and winning battles.
- The bonus for the first victory of the day in each vehicle on duty. You will get 50% more Fame Points for the first win in each vehicle that is not Out of Commission.
- The logs for clan Fame Points, Progression resets, restoring vehicles to duty, and changing the clan Prime Time. You can now see the history of these actions in the clan interface and keep track of your clan’s performance and activity.
- The functionality to quickly view your position or your clan’s position on the Leaderboard screen. You can now click on a block with your position at the bottom of the screen and jump to your place on the Leaderboard.
- The functionality for quick view of players from your clan on the Leaderboard screen. You can now filter the Leaderboard by clan and see how your clanmates are doing in the mode.
- The search by players and clans on the Leaderboard screen. You can now use the search bar to find any player or clan on the Leaderboard and see their stats and achievements.
- The context menu displayed upon right-clicking the area of a player’s nickname on the Leaderboard and Restoration to Duty screens. You can now access some options by right-clicking on a player’s name, such as viewing their profile, sending a message, inviting to a platoon, or reporting.
- The prevention of double Progression reset. If someone from your clan has already reset the Progression, you will not be able to do it again until the next reset time.
- The prevention of automatic Out of Commission status for new clan members. If you join a clan at the first Stage of the event, your vehicles will not receive the Out of Commission status until the next Stage.

Hints in Battle are a new feature that will help new players understand the game mechanics and improve their skills. The feature consists of two parts:
- Loading screens that explain the basics of combat mechanics for new players. They will show some tips and tricks on how to use your vehicle, how to deal damage, how to survive, and how to win. You can enable or disable these loading screens in the game settings.
- Contextual hints that are displayed under certain circumstances and explain the mechanics of the current situation to new players. They will show some advice and recommendations on what to do in different scenarios, such as spotting enemies, capturing bases, using consumables, and more. You can enable or disable these contextual hints in the game settings.
Hints in Battle are designed to help new players learn the game and have more fun. They will not interfere with the gameplay or the interface, and they will not affect the performance or the statistics of the players.
