WoT: The Vault of Unreleased Tanks
Discoveries within the Game’s Folders: Intriguing finds have surfaced from the game’s cache folder, nestled within the in-game store. This folder’s purpose? To preload images onto your computer, ensuring a speedier store experience later on.
Unveiling the Unreleased Tanks
It’s here, in this digital trove, that we stumbled upon tanks that have never graced the battlefield:
- T-46-5: This elusive tank icon slipped through the cracks back in 2012, and the tank itself was a part of the inaugural USSR development tree.
- KV-4 Mikhailov: Known to have been part of a unique supertest variant before the launch of version 1.0, this tank remains untested by testers.
- Object 279: The same famed 279, whose model has been showcased repeatedly. It mirrored the special supertest client version 1.0. Now, it takes on a new life in WG’s Project CW 2025, departing from the WoT universe.
- T25 Pilot Freedom: A distinct iteration of the T25 Pilot Number 1, hailing from the same client.
Technological Echoes: Also unearthed was technology with only subtle variations in appearance. Significantly, these tanks underwent testing before the era of such iconography. Thus, these images are relatively fresh. Yet, the likelihood of these unreleased tanks rolling out in WoT is practically null.
