Historical Background
The Czechoslovakian LPT-67 tank is a variant of the German Spähpanzer concept. Its hull layout mirrors the Soviet PT-76B and BTR-50 vehicles, with significantly reinforced frontal armor. To ensure necessary mobility, it was designed to use a turbocharged diesel engine based on the Soviet UTD-25 engine, boasting around 600 hp. Additionally, it featured an original chassis with six single road wheels, three support rollers per side, and telescopic energy-intensive hydraulic shock absorbers. This design allowed the vehicle, weighing 17-20 tons, to accelerate to 70 km/h. Firepower was provided by twin automatic cannons of 50 or 57 mm caliber. However, the project was abandoned due to technical and economic reasons. The tank was not amphibious, could not withstand helicopters and attack aircraft, and its production was quite expensive.
More About the Mechanics of Guns with a Continuous Fire System
The 🇨🇿LPT-67 features twin guns, a type not new to the game. This setup introduces new mechanics: a high rate of fire with minimal damage per shell. The guns fire alternately with a reload time between shells of just 0.05 seconds. Consequently, the rate of fire is very high, leading to a new parameter – damage per second. Currently, Tier 10 boasts 240 units of average damage per second, assuming each shell penetrates. A gun with poor accuracy and armor penetration will encourage players to maneuver behind enemy lines to inflict damage.
In addition to these mechanics, the tank will have a new sight that shows how full the magazine is.
New mechanics will also appear on Tier 8 and 10 tanks of the new 🇨🇿Czechoslovak LT sub-branch. The transitional Tier 7 tank will not feature these mechanics. The Tier 8 premium also has twin guns with these mechanics.
