Onslaught: Season of the Azure Manticore
Get ready for another glorious journey as we embark on a new year of Onslaught! This year will feature three dynamic seasons with shared progression, starting with the Season of the Azure Manticore, which launches alongside Patch 1.26. Let’s explore what the year 2024–2025 has in store.
Annual Reward: Meet the Stinger
The 2024–2025 Onslaught Annual Reward introduces 🇺🇸the Stinger, a Tier X Heavy Tank modeled after 🇺🇸the T57 Heavy Tank. This vehicle boasts a stunning 3D progression style and comes with a special crew, making it truly exclusive. The Stinger’s style will vary based on your performance at the end of the Year of the Manticore.
To earn this special tank and other valuable rewards, you need to collect at least nine Onslaught Banners (the event’s special currency) across all seasons.
- Depending on your rank, you can earn up to six banners at the end of each season. Collecting all 18 Onslaught Banners in a ranked year will earn you the maximum annual reward.
In addition to the annual reward, you can also earn various seasonal cosmetics, including the new 2D progression style “Mythical Beast.” Check it out!
Weekly Tasks and Onslaught Coins
The mode also features weekly tasks for earning Onslaught coins, which must be completed sequentially and only in this game mode. By completing each task, you will receive in-game values such as Tank Premium Account days, bonds, or credits. Additionally, for completing a weekly series of five tasks, you will receive an Onslaught coin. Each additional Onslaught coin will automatically bring you a new reward.
Changes to the Ranking System: Progression Rebalance
We have simplified the ranking system to make it more balanced and accessible:
- Iron rank: Significant changes have been made to make progression easier.
- Bronze rank: Changes have been implemented to help you advance faster.
- Silver rank: Minor improvements have been made to facilitate progression.
These edits will help you reach new ranks faster and make the gameplay more comfortable.
Improved Battle Modifiers
For the first time in Onslaught (and in the game), we’re changing one of the core mechanics:
- Damage spread has been reduced from ±25% to a more predictable ±12%. Given the competitive nature of Onslaught, this change will make damage dealing in the mode more reliable.
Note: This change only affects Onslaught and will only be applied during the Season of the Azure Manticore. We’ll decide whether to keep this change in future seasons based on the results of the season and your feedback.
Additionally, we’ve adjusted the following modifiers:
- NEW! Damage reduction to internal modules has been reduced by 50%, increasing vehicle durability in battles.
- NEW! Engine fire chance has been reduced to zero, eliminating one of the most unpredictable elements of game progression.
- Vehicle Durability: All vehicles will receive +650 durability, increasing their survivability.
- Detection duration has been increased from 3 to 4 seconds, giving you more time to react to threats.
New Advanced Equipment: Hidden Exhaust System
The Hidden Exhaust System has been added to the Onslaught Store. This new advanced equipment increases vehicle camouflage by 6% for heavy tanks, by 8% for tank destroyers, and by 10% for light tanks, both stationary and on the move. The Hidden Exhaust System provides significant tactical advantages over the standard Exhaust System.
New Tier X Vehicles and Map Updates
You can now go into battle with special vehicles that were previously unavailable:
- Hurricane
- WZ-111 Qilin
- Monkey King
- Object 268 Variant 5
- M60
- AMX 50 Foch (155)
- 121B
- 113 Beijing Opera
Map Improvements
- New Maps: Murovanka and Live Oaks have been added to the list of Onslaught locations.
- Returning Map: Himmelsdorf has been reworked and is back in the game.
Note: Onslaught maps are different from their Random Battle counterparts. They feature different terrain layouts and possible tactics, offering a fresh experience and more tactical decisions.
Free Training Rooms: Hone Your Skills
Training Rooms are now available for free! In the Onslaught team training, you can use ammo, equipment, and instructions for free. This change will allow you to practice your strategy and improve your skills without any extra costs.
