Server Replays in World of Tanks: A Long-Awaited Feature Finally Here!
After six years since their initial mention in 2019, server replays are finally set to be rolled out in World of Tanks! Developers have been working diligently on related features like KillCam, and now it’s the turn of server replays to shine.
What’s New with Server Replays?
The feature is almost ready for prime time, with only mass testing required on main servers. A file associated with server replays has been present in the client for a while, likely used internally before. With the 1.28 update, some functionality and text descriptions were added, offering insights into its operating principle.
UI Enhancements
The “REPLAYS” tab will be conveniently located at the top right of the screen. This tab includes:
- Best Replays: A collection of the best replays from all World of Tanks players.
- My Replays: A section showcasing your own standout battles.
- Find a Replay: Allows you to search for replays using specific parameters.
AI Assistance and Filters
AI will assist in finding the perfect replay, enhancing user experience. You can filter replays by:
- Prime time battles
- Vehicle type, tier, nation, etc.
Behind the Scenes
The internal functionality is expected to be extensive, aiding developers in analyzing battles or resolving controversies. There’s also potential for fun modes, tournaments, and Onslaught events, making this feature versatile.
