WOT Update 1.28: Enhanced Crew System Improvements
The upcoming Update 1.28 introduces a significantly reworked crew system designed to enhance flexibility and convenience for all players. These changes aim to streamline crew management and improve the overall gaming experience.
Skill Enhancements
Certain skills have been buffed to deliver greater benefits in combat:
- Practicality: This skill now reduces equipment preparation time by 15%, with an additional 30% reduction when paired with the “Thorough Preparation” instruction.
- Unit Tuning: The effectiveness of this skill has also been improved. It now increases damage absorbed from high-explosive shells by 15% and reduces damage caused by falling by 30%.
Mentorship System
Introducing the Mentor Certificate, which allows players to transfer a crew member’s experience to another crew member. Once used, the transferring crew member will be demobilized. This feature supports experienced crew members in sharing their knowledge with newcomers.
- Players can use Mentor Certificates on any crew member, including special ones or those obtained through game events.
- As a special bonus for Update 1.28, every player will receive 3 free Mentor Certificates to kickstart the mentoring process.
Automatic Crew Return
A new feature simplifies crew management:
- If enabled, the crew from your previous battle will automatically return to your tank when you select it again.
- This eliminates the need for manual transfers, saving time and streamlining gameplay.
Filter Refinement
The system now remembers settings for main filters after exiting the game:
- This improves the overall user experience by reducing repetitive tasks.
- Note: Additional filters (e.g., nation selection) will not be saved in this update.
Easier Training Materials Management
Purchasing and using training materials has been made more convenient:
- Players can now use the mouse wheel to quickly adjust the number of training materials they wish to purchase or apply.
- The crew context menu has also been standardized, offering the same commands in both the Hangar and Accelerated Training window.
