What’s New in the Latest Patch of Blowfish Studios? Quality of Life Improvements, Avatar Creation, and More!
Blowfish Studios is a game development studio that creates immersive and engaging games for various platforms. As the year comes to an end, devs are excited to announce that we have released one more patch for our loyal fans. This patch focuses on quality of life improvements that will make the core gameplay more riveting and seamless. Devs have also added some new features and fixed some bugs based on the feedback we have received from our community. In this article, we’ll show you what’s new and improved in the latest patch of Blowfish Studios.
Quality of Life Improvements: Trading Terminals, Spawn Rate, Controller, and More
Devs have made some quality of life improvements that will enhance your gaming experience. These improvements include:
- Trading Terminals now stock equipment for you to purchase, such as Shield Generators and Power Cores. These items will help you boost your defense and offense in the game.
- Mineable Asteroid spawn rate has been rebalanced to decrease the time between spawns. This means that you will have more opportunities to mine resources and earn credits in the game.
- Enemy spawn rate has been rebalanced to decrease the time required to complete Bounties. This means that you will have more action and challenge in the game, as well as more rewards for completing missions.
- Aiming down sights on the controller has changed from holding down the right stick to toggling. This means that you will have more control and precision when aiming with your weapons in the game.
- Controller aim assist has been updated to be more accurate. This means that you will have an easier time hitting your targets in the game, especially when using the controller.
- Devs have fixed the issue where after completing the Ranger Activities, a negative value of Activity Points was shown after completing a bounty. This means that you will no longer see incorrect values of Activity Points in the game, and you will be able to track your progress more accurately.
These quality of life improvements will make the core gameplay more enjoyable and smooth for you. You will be able to explore, fight, and loot more efficiently and effectively in the game.
Avatar Creation: Choose Your Gender, Genetic Base, Skin Tone, Hairstyle, and Hair Colour
Developers have added a new feature that will allow you to customize your avatar in the game. In response to player feedback, they have added a new Avatar Creation process where you can choose your gender, Genetic Base, skin tone, hairstyle, and hair colour for Base Avatars. You can access this feature from the main menu, and you can change your avatar at any time. You can also preview your avatar before confirming your choices.
This feature will give you more options and freedom to create your own unique avatar in the game. You can express your personality and style with your avatar, and you can also see how other players have customized their avatars in the game.
Player Experience: HUD Indicators, Patch Notes, and More
Devs have also improved the player experience by making some changes and additions to the game. These include:
- HUD indicators for loot drops have been improved. Indicators now display the class of equipment, as well as rarity, in a less invasive manner. This means that you will be able to see what kind of loot you can get from the drops, and how valuable they are, without blocking your view in the game.
- Patch notes have been added within the game, so they don’t just exist on our social channels and Steam page. You will be able to find the patch notes in the bottom right of the main menu. This means that you will be able to stay updated on the latest changes and improvements in the game, without leaving the game or opening another browser.
These player experience improvements will make the game more user-friendly and informative for you. You will be able to access important information and details about the game more easily and conveniently.
Known Issues: HUD, Controller, Hacking Drone, and More
Devs have also fixed some bugs and issues that were affecting the game. However, there are still some known issues that we are working on resolving in the future updates. These issues include:
- HUD no longer displays the item name for loot drops, but shows a generic placeholder. This will be addressed in an upcoming update. For now, you can still see the item name by hovering over the loot drop indicator in the game.
- Controller support for character customisation will be addressed in a future update. For now, you can still customize your character by using the mouse and keyboard in the game.
- When releasing the hacking drone, there is a chance it becomes stuck on an object. To prevent this from occurring, release the drone in a wide open location. If this issue occurs, you will have to quit to the main menu and try again. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are working on fixing this issue as soon as possible.
- On launch, you may experience window resizing issues. This issue can be resolved by readjusting the resolution options in the game settings. We are also working on improving the window resizing functionality in the future updates.
Devs appreciate your patience and understanding as we work on resolving these issues. They are always listening to your feedback and suggestions, and they are committed to making the game better and more enjoyable for you.
Thank You for Your Support and Stay Tuned for More Updates
They want to thank you all for joining us on this journey this year. Devs are grateful for your support and feedback, and we hope you enjoy the latest patch of Blowfish Studios. Our first update next year is going to be a big one that is planned to include Localisation and Patrols. Due to the team taking a well-deserved holiday break, devs will need a bit more time to roll it out. But they promise that it will be worth the wait. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
