World of Tanks Update 1.23.1 WOT EU: What You Need to Know About the Main Changes
World of Tanks, the online game that simulates tank warfare in the mid-20th century, is getting a new update soon. The World of Tanks update 1.23.1 WOT EU will be released on January 10th, and it will bring some exciting changes and improvements to the game. In this article, we will give you a detailed overview of the main changes that you can expect from this update, and how they will affect your gameplay and experience.
One of the most important changes that the World of Tanks update 1.23.1 WOT EU will introduce is the new branch of Japanese heavy tanks. These tanks are from Tier V to Tier X, and they have some unique features and abilities that will make them stand out from the rest. The new Japanese heavy tanks are:
- Tier V—Mitsu 108: A tank with good mobility and a decent gun, but weak armor and low hit points.
- Tier VI—Type 3 Ju-Nu: A tank with a powerful gun that can penetrate most enemies, but slow reload and poor gun depression.
- Tier VII —Type 4 Ju-To: A tank with a strong turret and a high-alpha gun, but low accuracy and long aim time.
- Tier VIII—Type 57: A tank with a unique mechanic: double aiming. This mechanic allows the tank to fire more accurately if it waits for the gun to cool down after reloading, as indicated by a second aiming circle. The tank can also use hydropneumatic suspension to adjust the hull angle and elevation of the gun, which can help with aiming and hiding.
- Tier IX—Type 68: A tank with a similar mechanic to the Type 57, but with a bigger and more powerful gun. The tank also has good armor and hit points, but low mobility and gun depression.
- Tier X—Type 71: A tank with the same mechanic as the Type 68, but with an even bigger and more powerful gun. The tank also has excellent armor and hit points, but very low mobility and gun depression.
The new Japanese heavy tanks are versatile and powerful, and they will give you more options and strategies to dominate the battlefield. You can choose to deal more damage per minute with increased spread, or shoot less often but more accurately, depending on the situation. You can also use the hydropneumatic suspension to improve your aiming and concealment, or to surprise your enemies with unexpected angles. The new Japanese heavy tanks will be a great addition to the game, and they will challenge you and your enemies with new gameplay features.
Another major change that the World of Tanks update 1.23.1 WOT EU will bring is the redesign of the Onslaught mode. The Onslaught mode is a special mode that features 15 vs 15 battles on smaller maps, with different objectives and mechanics. The Onslaught mode has a new season and rewards, as well as new maps, modifiers, and content. The new season is called the Season of the Crimson Pegasus, and it will offer you a chance to earn an exclusive version of the Tier X 🇵🇱CS-63 medium tank, along with stunning 3D styling, unique crew members, and other goodies. The new season will also feature three new maps: Oyster Bay, Studzianki, and Outpost. These maps will offer new tactical possibilities and challenges, as well as new points of interest and objects.
The Onslaught mode will also feature new modifiers that will make the battles more intense and unpredictable. The new modifiers are:
- Dispersion at 100 m has been reduced by 0.15: This modifier will make your shots more accurate and consistent, but it will also apply to your enemies, so be careful and avoid exposing yourself.
- Time remaining visible has been decreased from 10 seconds to 3 seconds: This modifier will make you less visible to your enemies after you fire, but it will also make your enemies less visible to you, so be alert and use your spotting skills.
- Proximity spotting radius has been decreased from 50 meters to 25 meters: This modifier will make you harder to spot by your enemies when you are close to them, but it will also make your enemies harder to spot by you, so be cautious and use your cover.
The new modifiers will add more variety and excitement to the Onslaught mode, as you will have to adapt to different situations and tactics. You will also have to cooperate with your teammates and communicate with them, as the modifiers can have a significant impact on the outcome of the battle. The Onslaught mode will be a great way to test your skills and have fun.
The World of Tanks update 1.23.1 WOT EU will also bring some other changes and improvements to the game, such as:
- A rebalance of several low-level vehicles in Random Battles: We have made some adjustments to the performance characteristics of 11 low-level vehicles of tiers II–IV, in order to make them more accessible and enjoyable for players who are just starting their journey in World of Tanks. These changes will also add more diversity and variety to the game, as they will introduce new gameplay features for veterans as well. Try them out and have fun!
- A new episode of Front Line with a dynamic battle scenario system: The fourth episode of Front Line is coming soon, and it will introduce a new system that will randomly determine one of three scenarios for interaction with combat reserves in each battle. Combat reserves are special abilities that you can use to boost your performance and help your team, such as artillery strikes, air strikes, engineering, recon, and inspire. The three scenarios are: Standard Battle, Operational Support, and Twist of Fate. Each scenario will have different effects on the training time, availability, and selection of combat reserves, which will affect your tactics and decisions. Prepare for some thrilling battles!
- A new marker for module research: Now, if you have enough Combat XP to research a module or vehicle, you will see a special marker on the Research button, which will indicate that you can research it. This will make it easier for you to see what you can research and progress in the game.
- A change in the game settings for new players: Within the update, we have changed some of the standard settings for some new players, in order to make the game more user-friendly and comfortable for them. One of the changes is that the general chat in the Garage has been disabled, which will prevent spam and toxicity from other players.
