The Type 71 is a regular Japanese heavy tank that will be available in the next update 1.23.1. It is the final tank of the future branch and the 65th TOP in the game.
Historical references
This tank has a fascinating history and design that dates back to the 1960s. The Type 71 was one of the main battle tank projects of that era. The designers wanted to create a tank that was similar to the STB-1, but bigger and better. They equipped it with an automatic hydropneumatic suspension, which gave it more flexibility and mobility. The suspension could change the ground clearance and also increase the vertical pointing angles of the gun. This was very useful in urban areas, where the tank could take advantage of the terrain and cover. The tank also had improved armor and a larger caliber gun, which made it more powerful and durable. However, the Type 71 project never became a reality and remained on paper.
