WoT: Release Notes 1.24.1
Postmortem Mode
- To enhance your gaming experience, we’ve updated the Destruction camera. Now, it actively tracks and focuses on the direction of the shot or damage. This feature makes it easier for you to identify and pinpoint the exact enemy location.
- We’re excited to introduce the Last Moment feature. When a tank meets its end, the game transitions into a replay of the last shot that hit the player. This replay provides detailed information about the position and circumstances leading to the tank’s destruction.
- However, this feature is only available for projectiles or explosions caused by projectiles. It won’t load if the battle is nearing its end. The camera will display the enemy vehicle and its trajectory (if spotted), your vehicle, and all surrounding vehicles and objects at the moment of destruction.
- Moreover, you’ll receive valuable information about the shell, penetration, distance, armor, and damage. You’ll also learn how these factors were calculated for that specific shot. By pressing SPACE, you can pause the Last Moment scene and access even more information.
- In its initial version, this feature will support most cases: All shell types, modern and legacy explosions, ricochets, fires, spaced armor, and destroyed tracks. However, it won’t be available for destruction caused by abilities, ramming, friendly fire, or crashes. The Last Moment camera is enabled by default, but you can skip or disable it in the settings.
Crew
- We’ve made some significant changes to the crew. All crew members are now trained to 100% and start with 0 XP by default. They can begin training their first perk immediately. Any XP for a crew member whose training level was between 50% to 100% will now contribute to their perk experience pool. As a result, there are no longer any crews with a training level below 100%.
- We’ve introduced a common 2-digit indicator for a vehicle’s entire crew called crew efficiency. This replaces the old training level. You can now recruit new crew members for free, without having to choose between operations for free, credits, or gold.
- In the Barracks, we’ve added a new button that allows players to remove all crew members with less than 100% XP for their first perk. In return, you’ll receive compensation in the form of Crew Books. Please note that this is a one-time operation and cannot be undone.
- When you retrain a crew member, you can choose between a free, credit, or gold retraining operation. A penalty to XP from the perk efficiency pool is applied when you select free or credit retraining. The perk efficiency experience pool contains 100,000 XP.
- All crew members now have 100% perk efficiency by default. If this is reduced due to retraining operations, the effect from their perks will decrease until the experience pool is filled. Crew members cannot use their perks in a vehicle they are not trained to operate.
- We’ve removed the separate operation to change a crew member’s qualification. You can now change crew members’ qualifications through the standard retraining operation (for credits or gold). There is no additional XP penalty when you retrain a crew member from a vehicle of a different type. An increased penalty is only applied when you change a crew member’s qualification for credits.
- You can move crew members to the Barracks even if the bunk limit is exceeded. If the bunk limit is exceeded, you cannot recruit new crew members. However, you can still obtain them by using Recruits or purchasing special offers.
- We’ve made some improvements to the interface and added new informational and reward screens.
Tour of Duty Update
- We’ve updated the Tour of Duty. Now, there will be three daily missions. You can complete the first mission either solo or in a Platoon or detachment. However, you can only complete the final two missions in a Platoon or detachment with a clanmate.
- Rewards for completed daily missions include Industrial Resource and Points of Duty. You must manually collect these rewards to access the next day’s missions.
- The Tour of Duty itself is now a map. You can unlock regions on this map using Points of Duty, with rewards for each region. The final Tour of Duty reward is a Tier X clan vehicle.
- After the release of Update 1.24.1, you will no longer be able to earn Industrial Resource in Tier X vehicles in Random Battles.
