This is the first very interesting and new tank for this French line.
AMX 30B2 is a new version of the old AMX 30B. At the beginning of eighties (1982), the old B version was updated, adding Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot (APFSDS) rounds, improved fire control system, laser rangefinder, low light capability, and a new transmission.
The 20 mm coaxial gun is able to elevate up to 40 degrees to engage air threats. The AMX-30 was adopted by nations that saw it as a cheaper alternative to the Leopard 1, including Greece, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Chile, and Cyprus.

AMX 30B2 è una nuova versione del vecchio AMX 30B.
