Alebrije is a distinct style of Mexican art. The first brightly colored toys were made by Pedro Linares in Mexico City. In 1936, he became very ill with a fever and one day in a dream he saw fantastic colorful animals with horns, tails, wings and fangs, which constantly repeated the word “Alebrijes”. After recovery, the artist depicted these animals in sculptures, which over the years became incredibly popular even outside of Mexico. Nowadays, various alebrije figurines made of papier-mâché, cardboard or wood are created all over the world. The main characters are most often fictional creatures, animals, people and skeletons.
This is a custom style and some preset style elements can be changed. Of the style settings available to choose from (4 pcs.): camouflage + paint. They change together, there are 4 types in total.
