Welcome to Tank Wars – a new event type that will bring two mighty tanks from the Second World War together. The legendary V T-34 and V M4A1 Sherman will take part in the first battle. But what will your role be in this, World of Tanks Commanders?

Choose the team and tank you support and join this epic duel! Read on to find out more about the missions, rewards, and restrictions.

Tank wars

Both registration and the event begin on May 3 at 07:00 CEST and the event runs until May 10 at 07:00 CEST (UTC + 2).

Summary of the event

The first Battle of the Tank Wars will take place between the T-34 and the M4A1 Sherman. Here is the event schedule that will help you join it, choose your team and start making enemies on the battlefield. Who do you think will win?

  • The goal of the event is to complete three types of repeatable missions to earn Tank Wars points that will unlock stage rewards
  • Stage rewards are unique and valuable items, and their value depends on your personal progress
  • Mission types vary depending on vehicle limitations and the total number of Tank Wars points awarded. Don’t worry if you don’t have a well-equipped garage. We will be offering discounts to use during the event to help you earn extra points and the tank you like
  • Hero tanks will give you the most points, Premium Allies will give you a little less, and other tanks will give you even fewer points.
  • Credit discounts on vehicles from the Tech Tree leading to the Heroic Tanks will be offered during this event to aid new Commanders
  • Twitch Drops will give Tank Wars points for those who want to make sure they receive rewards for progressing through the stages
  • The team with the most Tank Wars points at the end of the event will be declared the winner and will receive the exclusive right to brag about their achievement!
  • All your Tank Wars points from your teams will be summarized during the event and can be seen in the overall leaderboard that will be available at the start of the event

Made available after the start of Tank Wars on May 3 at 07:00 CEST (UTC + 2).

Join the team and register

Registration opens on May 3 at 07:00 CEST and ends on May 10 at 07:00 CEST (UTC + 2).

  1. Log in to the game
  2. Click on the STORAGE tab in the Garage menu at the top of the screen and select LAST BORDER SUPPLIES
  3. Choose the TANK WARS
  4. Choose your team – the T-34 team or the M4A1 Sherman team

Note: You can only choose one of them, so think carefully. Once selected, it will not be possible to change teams.

Tip: The rewards for stages earned by completing missions are the same for both teams, but check the list of allowed vehicles for a specific team before making a decision.

Watch for a limited time and earn rewards, including:

  • After 1 hour:  5points Tank Wars and 2 Personal Reserves: + 200% Crew XP for 2 hours
