Today marks the start of the next Crew test for the new crew skill system in WOT 2024.
This test, which runs from June 10 to June 20, takes place on a separate server named “New Perk System (beta)”. The client is accessible to all who successfully submitted an application, and is exclusively available in English.
If you’ve submitted an application but don’t have the client, you can try installing it using the code in WGC: WOT.PTE2.UNION@https:// wgus-wgie.wargaming.net.
However, if you didn’t send an application, you won’t be able to enter the game.
The skill system has seen minor changes compared to its previous version, but these changes are significant and will greatly impact progress. One of the most intriguing aspects for us is the ability to upgrade the skills of crew members with multiple specializations. This means that tanks of the 🇬🇧Manticora type no longer suffer from the disadvantage of a lengthy crew leveling process.
The introduction of new skills will enhance your performance in battle
By improving the basic parameters of the crew and reducing the upper and lower thresholds of damage spread and armor penetration spread, you can significantly influence the outcome of the battle.
In general, the system brings a certain level of individuality, and players will likely gather unique skill sets due to the wide range of choices and restrictions, making it challenging to find a meta.
We’ve noticed that some bloggers have expressed their dislike for the system, mostly due to personal reasons rather than a single overarching issue. In our opinion, the system needs to be implemented and refined over time.
One interesting observation from the playtest was that the developers provided the players with almost all the equipment currently available in the game. This means that players who participated in the test can bring interesting specimens into battle, including:
