From June 6 to July 4, immerse yourself in the historical single-player mode Operation Overlord, where you’ll participate in the legendary Normandy landings.
Created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the largest amphibious operation in military history, this scenario thrusts you into the heart of the events that unfolded on June 6, 1944. Fight alongside AI-controlled characters from Battle Pass Season XIV, breach the formidable Atlantic Wall, complete mission objectives, defeat enemies, and reap valuable rewards.
Operation Overlord:
- Duration: From June 6, 05:00 to July 4, 05:00 (UTC+3).
- Enhanced Comfort: Additional servers (EU5 and EU6) will be launched temporarily to minimize queues and technical issues during the event.
Mission Objectives:
- Inspired by the true events of D-Day during World War II, Operation Overlord is a single-player combat scenario.
- Fight alongside AI-controlled allies against computer-controlled opponents.
- Your first secret task: break through coastal fortifications and minefields. Destroy bunkers, suppress enemy positions, and pave the way for Allied forces to land from the sea.
- Success requires teamwork with your bot allies.
Difficulty Levels and Combat Missions:
- Choose between normal and advanced difficulty levels, each offering different rewards.
- All missions are available from the start, allowing you to select your preferred challenge.
- Three combat missions await at each difficulty level: the first on June 6, and the other two on June 13.
- The second and third tasks introduce additional conditions for an exhilarating gameplay experience.
Basic Gameplay and Unique Features:
- Clear objectives: rush forward, follow navigation markers, and eliminate enemy vehicles and coastal bunkers.
- Map: Battles unfold on the special “Omaha” map, rich with details and interactive objects that evoke the Normandy landings.
- Vehicle: Command the legendary VI M4A3E8 Sherman.
- Unique Features:
- Naval Support: Surprise enemies by marking bunker positions for the destroyer Frankford using tracers along the fog-covered coast.
- Smoke Signals: Available after disabling air defenses, use them to mark targets for allied ships, including fortifications and enemy vehicles.
- Minefields: Proceed cautiously—the coastline is mined. Fortunately, the unique Sherman Crab vehicle helps you and your allies avoid detonating mines.
