World of Tanks RU, Patch 1.25: How developers Transformed The M-V-Y Branch
The M-V-Y Branch is one of the most unique and exciting branches in World of Tanks. These tanks are designed to spearhead the attack, break through the enemy lines, and create chaos in the enemy ranks. However, after analyzing the vehicles of this branch, devs realized that they were not performing as well as they expected, and that they needed some adjustments to fit their role better.
Therefore, devs decided to change the role of this technology, and make them more suitable for the breakthrough role. To do this, they improved parameters such as armor penetration, reload time, vertical aiming angles, as well as maximum speed and power density. These changes will allow tanks to choose the most advantageous direction for attack, use their guns more effectively and evade enemy fire. They will also make the gameplay more dynamic and enjoyable for the players.
Here are the specific changes we made to each tank in the branch:
M-V-Y
This tank is the top-tier vehicle in the branch, and a formidable opponent on the battlefield. It has a powerful 105 mm gun, a good mobility, and a decent armor. However, it also has some drawbacks, such as low shell count, long reload time, and poor elevation angles.
To address these issues, we increased the armor penetration with a basic shell of the 105 mm Gun T141 gun from 268 mm to 274 mm, and with special shell from 315 mm to 330 mm. This will make your shots more effective against enemy armor, and increase your damage output. Devs also reduced the reload time for 105 mm Gun T141 from 8.15 s to 7.3 s, which will improve your rate of fire and flexibility. Finally, we increased the elevation angles from -10 degrees to -12 degrees, which will make your gun more versatile and adaptable.
M-VI-Y
This tank is the predecessor of the M-V-Y, and shares many of its features and playstyle. However, it also has some disadvantages, such as low penetration, slow shell speed, and mediocre damage.
To make this tank more competitive and fun to play, we increased the armor penetration with a basic 105 mm Gun T254 Y VI projectile from 251 mm to 260 mm, and with a special projectile from 263 mm to 286 mm. This will help you penetrate more enemy armor and deal more damage. Devs also increased the base projectile speed from 1000 m/s to 1120 m/s, which will make your shells travel faster and hit your targets easier. Additionally, we increased the shell damage from 300 units to 320 units, which will boost your alpha damage and burst potential.
M-III-Y
To improve this tank’s performance and consistency, devs increased the armor penetration with a basic projectile 90 mm Gun T208 (rifled) from 223 mm to 236 mm, and with a special projectile from 210 mm to 218 mm. This will make your shots more effective against enemy armor and increase your damage output. Developers also increased the number of shells in the drum from 4 to 6, which will give you more firepower and flexibility. Furthermore, devs reduced the spread after shot by 13%, which will make your shots more precise and stable.
PAWLACK TANK
To enhance this tank’s capabilities and potential, devs increased the armor penetration with a basic projectile from 160 mm to 175 mm, and with 76 mm Gun T91E5 from 137 mm to 148 mm. This will make your shots more powerful and reliable, and increase your damage output. Devs also reduced the gun aiming time from 2.4 s to 2.1 s, which will make your gun more responsive and accurate. Finally, developers reduced the stabilization of the gun from the movement of the tracks from 0.24 to 0.2, which will make your gun more stable and consistent.
