World of Tanks Somua SM heavy tank

On russian forum Storm published a picture that shows a strange tank, it seems a Panther with an AMX 50 100 turret or a King Tiger with autoloader turret. Wrong. This tank is a Somua SM. It’s a prototype by Société d’outillage mécanique et d’usinage d’artillerie (SOMUA). The vehicle was designed in 1946. The hull came from the experience learned from German tanks (Panther and Tiger). The vehicle mounted a drum/oscillating turret with a 100mm gun. The first prototype was completed in October 1951 and was tested until mid 1953. Finally the project was rejected and it was decided to buy M47 Patton from USA. It’s truly possible see it in game. WG needs only more data to complete the model.
Sul forum russo oggi Storm ha pubblicato un’immagine di uno strano carro, parrebbe un Panther con una torretta dell’AMX 50 100 o addirittura in Tigre II. Infatti molti sono stati tratti in inganno. Sbagliato. Da ricerche effettuate si è scoperto si tratti del Somua SM, un carro pesante progettato dalla Société d’outillage mécanique et d’usinage d’artillerie (SOMUA) fin dal 1946. Si trattava di un mezzo simile ai carri tedeschi, relativamente allo scafo, con torretta oscillante a caricatore automatico. Il cannone era un 100mm. Il mezzo arrivò allo satdio di prototipo nel 1951 e venne testato fino al 1953 quando il progetto venne chiuso in favore degli M47 Patton dagli USA. E’ molto probabile vederlo in gioco, la WG necessita solo di più datri per la realizzazione del modello.
