Historical Background:
The FV224 Chopper tank project was developed in Great Britain immediately after World War II as a heavy coastal defense tank. It was designed with two guns in the turret, combined with a panoramic sight and optical rangefinder, to engage landing support ships effectively. Wide tracks were intended to provide good cross-country ability. However, due to unreliable and complex suspension, insufficient caliber guns, and the lack of anti-nuclear protection, the project was eventually closed.
Crew of 5: Commander (Radio Operator), Gunner, Driver, Loader, Loader.
Role in Combat: Universal heavy tank.
