World of Tanks supertest – SDP 60 Gonkiewicza
If you are a fan of World of Tanks, the ultimate online multiplayer game that lets you command over 600 historical tanks from 11 nations, you will be excited to hear about the SDP 60 Gonkiewicza, the future 9 lvl TD from Poland. This tank entered the WoT EU supertest on Thursday, and it has some unique features that make it stand out from the rest.
The SDP 60 Gonkiewicza has a gun with a deep rifled barrel, a new mechanic that affects the damage output depending on the distance to the enemy. The closer you are, the more damage you deal. The gun also has an interesting muzzle design, which is different from the NC 70 Błyskawica top. Moreover, the TOP weapon has various cutouts and stock at lvl 9. This is the first time this has happened in WoT, and it is not based on any real-life prototype.
Another feature of the SDP 60 Gonkiewicza is the new type of shells – double-caliber shells with a star tray. These shells have a higher penetration and damage potential than regular shells, but they also have a lower velocity and accuracy. The average damage of the shells varies from 300 to 800 units, depending on the distance to the enemy. However, you should also consider the spread of ±25% of the average damage, which adds some randomness to the mechanic.
New mechanic
The TD mechanic of the SDP 60 Gonkiewicza is designed to encourage you to play at close ranges, as that is where you can unleash your full potential. That is what WG intends, as they want to create a more dynamic and aggressive gameplay for tank destroyers. To help you with that, the tank also has a new sight, which shows the possible damage depending on the distance to the enemy. This way, you can adjust your aim and strategy accordingly.
The new mechanic of the gun with a deep rifled barrel will appear on tanks from lvl 8 to 10 of the new TD sub-branch of Poland. Tanks from levels 5 to 7 will not have this mechanic, as they will have more conventional guns. There will also be a level 8 premium tank with the same mechanic, but it has not been revealed yet.
The SDP 60 Gonkiewicza has a crew of 4 people: Commander (Radio Operator), Gunner, Driver mechanic, and Loader. The role of the tank in combat is a universal tank destroyer, as it can perform various tasks depending on the situation. The special category equipment of the tank is Firepower, which enhances the performance of the gun and the shells.
The SDP 60 Gonkiewicza is a promising tank that will bring a new dimension to the World of Tanks gameplay. It is a tank that rewards skill, courage, and creativity. If you want to try it out, you will have to wait until it is released on the live server. Stay tuned for more information about the SDP 60 Gonkiewicza and the new TD sub-branch Poland.
