Winter Raid: Collect Gifts in a Snowy Paper World in World of Tanks
This holiday season, we’re turning the temperature down to the minimum, and Jason Statham invites you to a new game mode with dynamic winter battles! Enter “Winter Raid” – a clash of three teams of five players who must collect gifts on a fabulous snowy map!
In this mode, the battlefield transforms into a board game arena with icy challenges, festive objects, and plenty of rewards. Show your wits, prepare for exciting battles, and collect more gifts than the rest!
Rules:
“Winter Raid” features fun and unusual rules. On the battlefield, three teams of five players each will face off, fighting in vehicles of three special classes. The goal is simple: collect gifts and deliver them to your base to fill the progress bar faster than other teams. But there’s a catch: opponents can sneak into your base and steal the gifts you’ve collected!
- The battle ends when one team collects 50 gifts or after 10 minutes, so quick decisions and coordinated attacks are key to victory.
- Gifts appear in waves during the battle:
- The first wave of gifts is guarded by bots, and when destroyed, they drop four more gifts.
- Enemy vehicles also drop one gift when destroyed.
- The last wave of gifts is guarded by powerful snowstorms that freeze and damage your vehicles. Be careful!
- If you survive a particularly brutal fight, you can repair your vehicle at your base. But be aware: taking further damage will pause repairs for 30 seconds.
Availability:
The Winter Raid will be available in-game on weekends for three consecutive weeks during the 2025 New Year Offensive. Each week will bring a new chapter with updated challenges and rewards! Keep an eye out for the Winter Raid truck next to the Christmas tree in your holiday town. If the curtains are open, the game mode is available.
Weekends and Chapters:
Every weekend, a new chapter of the Winter Raid will be available. Collect Gift Coins to advance through the Chapter progression and earn awesome rewards. Chapters must be completed in order. The mode starts on Friday and ends on Monday, but chapters remain available until the end of the 2025 Holiday Offensive. Winter Raid battles are where you can earn the most Gift Coins, so mark your calendars and make the most of each battle!
- Winter Raid 1: From December 13 at 11:00 to December 16 at 11:00 (UTC+3).
- Winter Raid 2: From December 20 at 11:00 to December 23 at 11:00 (UTC+3).
- Winter Raid 3: From December 27 at 11:00 to December 30 at 11:00 (UTC+3).
Mode Breaks and Random Battle Tasks:
When Winter Raid is unavailable, you can still earn gift coins by completing daily combat tasks in Random Battles. These tasks will be active from the launch of Winter Raid until the end of the New Year Offensive.
Map:
The Winter Raid map is a fairy-tale paper country created in the style of a board game, with a snowy landscape, colorful paths, and festive objects that add extravagance. The main events will unfold in the center and at three bases, which will become arenas for hot and dynamic battles. Be careful on the icy patches scattered around the map, as they are slippery and make it difficult to control your vehicle. Plan your route carefully, use the environment to your advantage, and stay alert as you navigate obstacles to your rewards.
Vehicles:
The new mode features three unique vehicle classes, each with their own roles and abilities. Choose wisely and coordinate with your teammates to make the most of your class’s strengths.
Game Mode Progression:
The festive Winter Raid mode will be available on weekends for three weeks. Every Friday, from December 13th at 11:00 (UTC+3), a new chapter begins. Complete all three chapters before January 13th at 09:00 (UTC+3) to make the most of the event and get unique prizes.
How to Earn Gift Coins:
The event will feature a special currency — gift coins. With them, you can get the maximum rewards and become the owner of exclusive 3D objects. There are four ways to earn coins:
- Winter Raid Battles: Fight in the mode and earn coins depending on your personal and team results. The better your strategy, the more coins you will get!
- Weekend Tasks: Every weekend, complete tasks for a certain vehicle class to get more coins. For each class, three unique tasks will be available throughout the event. By completing them, you increase your gift coin supply and progress in the event.
- Daily Rewards for Vehicle Classes: Log in to the game every day when the Winter Raid mode is available and fight one battle on each of the three vehicle classes to receive an additional coin for the first battle.
- Random Battles Missions: From the first day of the Winter Raid until the end of the New Year Offensive on January 13, 2025, at 09:00 (UTC+3), up to three daily combat missions will be available in Random Battles. This new feature adds a twist to the event and allows you to earn coins even when the mode is inactive.
Progress in the Event and Get Exclusive 3D Objects:
Gift coins will come in handy when exchanging for great in-game valuables, including Tank Premium Account days, bonds, coveted 3D objects, and much more. Each of the 3D objects can only be obtained in the Winter Raid. They will add mystery to your vehicle and demonstrate your success in this year’s event. Collect this limited collection of cosmetic items and stand out from the crowd, because only participants of the Winter Raid can earn this set!
