World of Warships Update 13.1 Part 3 Preview: Airship Escort and Clan Battles

The new patch is on its way, and we have some exciting features to share with you! One of the main highlights of this update is the return of Airship Escort as a separate, temporary battle type.

Airship Escort

In this mode, you have to lead your allied airship to its destination before the enemy team does. You can also win by destroying the enemy ships. This mode will use the same ruleset as before, when Airship Escort was part of Random Battles. You can use Tier VIII-X ships of any type in this mode.

Clan Battles

A new Clan Battles season will start in Update 13.1! This season will have the following format:

  • 7v7 Tier X ships and superships
  • No submarines or aircraft carriers
  • Only 1 battleship per team
  • No limits on cruisers or destroyers
  • Only 1 Petropavlosvk per team.
  • Only 2 Napoli or Marseilles per team.
  • Devs will announce more ship restrictions in a later DevBlog.

Content Additions and Changes

Update 13.1 will bring a lot of new content to the game!

  • The Dragon Port with improved visuals
  • Commander Nian with a unique voiceover
  • Commanders Takeo Kurita and Karel Doorman
  • The New Year Beast patch
  • flag The Grey Ghost patch
  • the USS Enterprise flag
  • The Lunar Beast permanent camouflage for Hsienyang (devs will reveal this camouflage later, as it is still in development)
  • The Pacific Ghost permanent camouflage for Enterprise

The Battle of the Java Sea container and the Battle of the Java Sea Premium container

The Battle of the Java Sea container contents

  • 5x special expendable economic bonus – 16% for each type
  • 3000 Free XP – 20%
  • x2 expendable camouflages Early Morning or Union Jack – 7,70% for each type
  • One of these ships – 0,6%,
    • of which: Yudachi, Perth, Jupiter, Minegumo – 0,15% each
      • You will get 3000 Free XP if you have all items from the “Ships” group.

The Battle of the Java Sea premium container contents

  • 14x rare expendable economic bonus – 16% for each type
  • 32000 Free XP – 16%
  • x2 permanent camouflages Early Morning or Union Jack – 7% for each type
  • One of these ships – 6%,
    • of which: Yudachi, Perth, Jupiter, Minegumo – 1,5% each
      • You will get 32 000 Free XP if you have all items from the “Ships” group.
