World of Warships Closed Test 13.1: Meet Wisconsin, USS Tier X Battleship
If you are a fan of traditional American battleships, you will love Wisconsin, the fourth and final Iowa-class battleship. Wisconsin has a rich history of service, from World War II to the Gulf War, and now serves as a museum ship in Norfolk, Virginia. In this article, we will introduce you to Wisconsin’s features, consumables, and gameplay tips in the upcoming closed test 13.1 of World of Warships.
What Makes Wisconsin Special?
Wisconsin is a fast and accurate battleship, with a top speed of 32.5 knots and a sigma value of 2.00. She also has low detectability, which allows her to surprise enemies and take advantageous positions. Her improved Repair Party consumable can heal more damage than usual, making her more resilient in battle.
However, Wisconsin also has some drawbacks. Her HP pool, armor, and main battery are weaker than most of her Tier X counterparts. She can have trouble penetrating well-angled targets and she can suffer heavy damage from enemy fire. To overcome these challenges, Wisconsin has a unique feature: Combat Instructions.
How Do Combat Instructions Work?
Combat Instructions are a special mechanic that boosts Wisconsin’s performance when she lands direct hits with her main battery guns. Each hit adds 5.88% progress to a bar that can reach up to 100%. The progress will decay by 5% per second if Wisconsin does not fire her guns for 50 seconds.
When the progress bar reaches 100%, Wisconsin can activate Combat Instructions, which will have the following effects:
- Main battery reload time reduced by 50%
- Consumable reload time reduced by 80%
- Duration of 20 seconds
This means that Wisconsin can unleash a barrage of shells and use her consumables more frequently, giving her an edge in intense engagements. She can also use this opportunity to disengage and heal up, as her Repair Party will be ready sooner.
What Consumables Does Wisconsin Have?
Wisconsin has four consumable slots, with some choices to make. In the first slot, she has the standard Damage Control Party, which can extinguish fires and repair flooding. In the second slot, she has the improved Repair Party, which can heal 0.66% of her maximum HP per second, instead of the usual 0.5%.
In the third slot, she can choose between Fighter or Spotter Plane. Fighter can provide air cover and spot torpedoes, while Spotter Plane can increase her firing range and shell trajectory. In the fourth slot, she has Defensive AA Fire, which can boost her anti-aircraft damage and cause more explosions in the enemy planes’ path.
How to Play Wisconsin?
Wisconsin is a versatile battleship that can adapt to different situations. Her concealment and speed allow her to move around the map and find good firing angles. Her accuracy and high fire chance can punish enemy mistakes and set them on fire. Her Repair Party and Combat Instructions can help her survive and deal more damage.
However, Wisconsin is not a brawler. She should avoid close-range fights with other battleships, as her armor and HP are inferior. She should also be wary of torpedoes, as her torpedo protection is only 25%. She should use her Combat Instructions wisely, as they can make a difference between victory and defeat.
Wisconsin is a fun and rewarding ship to play, but also a challenging one. She requires good positioning, timing, and decision-making skills. If you master these, you will enjoy sailing this historic and powerful warship.
